The FLIBS 2018 was the showcase of Utopia IV the 63-meter long Superyacht made by the Italian company Rossinavi di Viareggio on behalf of the American JR and Loren Ridinger of marketamerica.com, just as commissioned by a high-end dressmaker: the measures perfect, the fabric, the type of stitching, the color, and the point of nuance. A head of high Italian nautical tailoring that has combined the requests of the owners with the quality and the Italian craftsmanship entrusted in the design, both internal and external, to Enrico Gobbi and his studio Team for Design, for a total value of 57 million dollars.

The company Rossinavi, founded in 2007 in Viareggio with a passion and generational skill for boating is not new to this type of requests and in time has developed this concept of tailoring applied to the nautical sector giving form to custom works of art based on the necessity and to the individual vision of those who aspire to a masterpiece of the sea.

The latest addition to Rossinavi is the utopian (today real more than ever) UTOPIA IV the largest boat ever made up to now with the trappings that distinguish Rossinavi, known in the jargon as FR031 model, the UTOPIA IV solidifies the already tested relationship between Rossinavi and Enrico Gobbi and his studio that have previously produced: the Ketos of 49m Vellmarì, the Prince Shark of 49 m Param Jamuna IV, the Prince Shark of 49 m.

The superyacht launched for sea trials in March 2018 in Italy was completed at the end of April and officially entered the FLIBS. The exterior design, inspired by the contemporary automotive design, recalls the sinuous lines of a motorboat with sharp lines and a low profile on the water. It is equipped with four MTU 16V2000 M96L engines and, above all, four Rolls Royce KaMeWa water-jet propulsion systems that provide the best propulsion system for boats that require high performance and safety features. The combination of these two elements makes it possible to travel at a maximum speed of 33 knots and at an average cruising speed of 26 knots: performing both for sailing in the Caribbean and in the Mediterranean, along the coast of Florida or in the open sea . The balance between the power of the engine needed to reach certain speeds and its weight is “a special feature of this boat” says Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi.

But leaving out the exceptional technical features, it is undoubtedly the interior design that leaves you speechless. Designed by Enrico Gobbi and his Team for Design staff, the interiors combine the needs of a family boat that can also act as a representative, complete with a private office and a meeting room. The interior design has taken into account the need to create settings that enhance the different interior atmospheres emphasizing the available space and ensuring a continuous visual contact between the exterior and the interior, which was possible thanks to the study of openings designed on the hull and superstructure by the continuous surfaces of the windows. An example is the large retractable TV screen, which when not used leaves the view of the sea and the external landscape free.

Utopia IV has been treated in detail with precious natural materials and sober shades made of walnut wood, light oak wood and precious leather upholstery in ivory and beige tones that transmit to the interior a luxurious but also warm and welcoming atmosphere. Particular attention has been given to the main walls and backlit ceiling portions to create scenic effects in the focal points of the interior. The fabrics come exclusively from luxury brands: Armani Casa and Hermès. The master bedroom by JR and Loren Ridinger, huge and equipped with all comforts, has a double hydromassage shower as spectacular as it is spacious and light in structure due to the circular windows it is made of. Centrally located is the suite, connected to the bathroom area and the walk-in closet area, both for Mr JR and for his wife Loren, from which you can spot splendid Birkin and Kelly by Hermès, always synonymous with fine luxury. The bathroom area is also equipped with a bidet, a feature not indifferent for American users. The owners’ suite also has a special feature: an impressive starboard balcony that folds into a private terrace above.

Overall Utopia IV can accommodate up to 10 people in five spacious cabins all beautifully decorated and furnished.

Inside the main hall there is the lounge which is accessed through large four-meter glass sliding doors that open onto the deck and envelop the interior in natural light.

A rich partition wall covered in wood separates the main dining and living areas, while an open bar at the back of the yacht opens directly onto the main deck for family entertainment or eventual guests. The interiors of the superyacht are a blend of minimalist and sophisticated style with attention to detail by Loren, with works by Botero, minimalist glass lamps representing two stylized faces, produced in Murano and, in a case, a stylized artwork in wrought iron from which they seem to detach themselves and take shape in their own letters that make up a sentence of the owner … unfortunatelyit  is not given to know what the sentence is.

On the deck, the yacht is designed for entertainment with several lounge and recreation areas, including a large pool located on the main deck, next to a sun deck and large outdoor seating area. In addition to all this a whirlpool pool completely covered with a beautiful blue mosaic Bisazza. Enrico Gobbi has also designed the impressive 70-square-foot beach club of Utopia IV on the back of the yacht, one of the main features of the boat, which opens directly onto the sea level. The 16-meter fly deck has been extended without compromising the clean lines of the yacht’s design and becomes a large space to relax and have fun at the same time. It should be mentioned the great attention placed on the study for the external lighting plan that was developed with the intent of underlining the majesty of the ship, highlighting the details of automotive design appeal through the integration of indirect lights trimmed into the superstructure, for example under the spoiler. Utopia IV, takes its name from the first owner-owned boat that joins two other yachts that Rossinavi has always produced.

The superyacht Rossinavi UTOPIA IV, is simply stunning not only for the unbridled luxury that fills the spaces, but above all for the combined mix of fine craftsmanship visible both in the study of the project and in the rendering of details that only the Italian mind can focus on. combining craftsmanship and the future.
